Today, we’re demonstrating high-contrast, large print, measuring cups and measuring spoons. These can be found in the Vermont Assistive Technology Program inventory under number 3438-12, and the approximate cost in the market is five dollars. Large print, high-contrast measuring cups and measuring spoons are great for individuals that have low vision. So for example, these measuring spoons have a great green background that makes the black lettering pop, and the black lettering is also large print, which makes it easier to read. We especially love the measuring cups, which have the amount that the cup is measuring in very large print in the base of the cup here. So, you can see this is a quarter cup, and then these are some examples of the other cups. So, as I said before, this whole set costs approximately five dollars, and it can really help someone with low vision maintain independence in the kitchen while measuring.
