Brow Artist Kristie Streicher’s At-home Eyebrow Grooming Tips | Just Five Things | Byrdie

Hi! Kristie Streicher here—I’m going to share
with you my favorite at-home eyebrow grooming tips. First off, you always want to wait at least
like 6 to 8 weeks before tweezing your own eyebrows. It will allow the natural shape to fill in,
and you’ll kind of get all the hair on one growth cycle if you wait at least 6 to 8 weeks. Super important: You never wanna tweeze your
eyebrows in a magnifying mirror. You always want to use natural daylight in
a normal mirror, and you can always step away from the mirror if you have to get too close
just to gain a little bit more perspective. Another tip is you never want to tweeze your
eyebrows after you’ve been drinking—that’s a horrible idea. Third would be use an oil on the brow first. It will really soften the skin and hair follicles,
so tweezing will be a little less irritating, you won’t get as red, and it hurts less. When it comes to filling in your eyebrows,
you always want to find a product that matches your eyebrow hair, not the hair on your head. Most people tend to have ashy-based eyebrow
hair, so you always want to make sure that it’s in the ashier tones (unless you’re a
redhead, of course). Lastly, you always want to end your sort-of
shaping, filling-in routine with either a clear or a tinted stronghold eyebrow gel,
and really brush the hair up. It will make them appear a lot fuller, more
natural-looking, and they’ll just look better. Thanks for watching. If you have any questions, let me know!
